Ray Charles Live - In Concert with the Edmonton Symphony Review! Watch Online!
There's no such thing as a bad song as long as it's sung by the late Ray Charles, and Live at the Jubilee Auditorium Canada offers yet more irrefutable evidence of that. This concert, recorded in 1981, has its flaws; it's brief (48 minutes, no bonus features), and hearing Charles with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in a big, formal venue with a rather listless audience isn't exactly ideal. But Charles, the man who's rightly credited with "inventing" soul music, always had an inimitable way with a song. On the one hand, he transforms a relatively unfamiliar choice, Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," from a gentle waltz into a rousing, funky romp ("Some Enchanted Evening," another tune by that team, is marred by an awful disco beat). On the other hand, even if he performed "Georgia on My Mind," "Hit the Road Jack," "What'd I Say," and "I Can't Stop Loving You" literally thousands of times, the man was incapable of merely going through the motions. He adds little vocal inflections and filigree that help make the hoariest of standards sound fresh--check out "What'd I Say," where a long, funny intro (Ray yodels!) blossoms into a cooking version of the tune. This may not be Ray Charles's greatest performance, but hey, any Ray is good Ray. --Sam Graham
You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!
Wow! I really loved the movie Ray Charles Live - In Concert with the Edmonton Symphony. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Ray Charles deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.
I also think Raelettes was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie. When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.
I think Ray Charles and Raelettes worked wonderful in Ray Charles Live - In Concert with the Edmonton Symphony. The great supporting cast includes Ray Charles, Raelettes, Edmonton Symphony.

Beneath the Twelve Mile Reef - Fun Movie
Beneath the Twelve Mile Reef To begin, this movie has a great beginning; it pulled me right into it.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience. The action scenes are really great. Robert Wagner played his role great. Terry Moore actually caught my interest.
Beneath the 12-Mile Reef is a landmark, or rather watermark. The third ever CinemaScope production this was a prestige release, with Florida, Key West location Technicolor filming of never-before-achieved underwater cinematography, and four-channel stereo recording of a superlative Bernard Herrmann score. Even a still-impressive underwater battle with an octopus pre-dates the more famous giant squid of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954). The humans aren't bad either, with a young Robert Wagner making a charismatic if ethnically unconvincing Greek lead as sponge fisherman Tony, and Terry Moore playing Juliet to his Romeo with real vivacity. --Gary S. For Hire - Experience The Magic Of Movies
Mitch Lawrence (Rob Lowe), a Chicago cabby and would be actor, is a man whose dreams are starting to fade. He's got a loving and pregnant wife and a decent clientele, including the successful writer Lou Webber (Joe Mantegna), but overall his life is one of quiet frustration, even desperation. When he is diagnosed with inoperable cancer, he agrees to kill a drug dealer who has been threatening Webber in order to set up a nest egg for his wife and the baby. But Mitch soon realizes he is caught up in a deadly game of manipulation and betrayal, proving that at the right price any man is for hire.
For Hire was an incredible movie! Both Rob Lowe and Joe Mantegna were amazing! Maybe that's what makes the movie so good. The great cast includes Rob Lowe, Joe Mantegna, Bronwen Booth. The movie moves on like a dream and end leaving you wanting for more.
